What is ethylene oxide (EtO) sterilization?
Ethylene oxide is a gas widely used in sterilization; more than 50% of medical devices are sterilized by EtO. It is used either as 100% ETO or in combination with carbon dioxide. It is preferred for large volume sterilization due to its high penetration properties.
What are the main advantages of EtO sterilization?
- Excellent penetration for large volume sterilization.
- Sterilization of products in their final sealed packaging.
- Low-temperature process maintains product characteristics.
- Compatible with a wide range of materials including plastics and electronics.
- Low maintenance and operation costs.
What is the scope of use for an ETO Sterilizer?
It is used for endoscopes, plastic and rubber products (syringes, catheters), surgical instruments, anesthetic vessels, and cotton fiber products like surgical gowns and bedding.
What is your warranty policy?
The mainframe of the cabinet is guaranteed for at least 5 years, the control system for 2 years, and other purchased parts are guaranteed for 1 year.
Do you provide technical documentation like IQ, OQ, PQ?
Yes, we provide FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), IQ (Installation Qualification), OQ (Operational Qualification), and support for PQ (Performance Qualification), along with software validation.
What is the production and installation timeframe?
Equipment production takes 60-90 days. Installation and debugging require 15-60 days depending on chamber size. IQ and OQ validation takes approximately 7 days.
